According to Eater   Let the grumbling begin.

Even now when everybody has seen pictures of all the major reviewers, there's hope for anonymous restaurant reviewing.

Putting on my Cynical Hat, I see it this way. Wells' bosses told him he had to review out of town places. He could give some of them one star ratings but that would make the bosses look bad since they're spending money and time on this project. Giving three star ratings makes his bosses look like geniuses and supports the Times' efforts to morph into an upscale version of USA Today.

Interesting that a fair number of comments lament the "out-of-town" reviewing, and almost as many lambaste those for being by "provincial New Yorkers." Very few are actually about the restaurant or its food.

That's because everyone's still outside on the line.
