Rich
Gee, and I thought reviewing those places in Bismarck, ND was out of the way. Now I need to take a 26-hour plane ride. The only thing left out was reservation information. Do I need to make reservations yesterday or tomorrow for a table today?
Sneakeater
Wait a minute. I've eaten at Little Tong. I enjoyed eating at Little Tong. But two stars is madness.

Suzanne F
See my comment on the review. It's the second one up and so far, the only readers' pick (but that's out of 3, so I can't feel too important).
Sneakeater
Speaking for myself, I don't have a problem with "all sorts of restaurants" getting the "full review treatment." (I know that many others disagree.) I just object when a pretty-good noodle shop gets two stars.* I defy anyone here to eat there and corroborate that rating. ___________________________________________________ * For historical clarity, I was fully on board with Ruth Reichl's three-star rating of Honmura An. This place simply isn't close, in terms of both menu depth and food quality.

Orik
Maybe someone can tell us how many beers Wells had had by the time it was written.
Neocon maudit
. . . * For historical clarity, I was fully on board with Ruth Reichl's three-star rating of Honmura An. Sneakeater
I don't want to be this way, but that should be a BIG regret. It was just fantastic.
joethefoodie
It was, but I think Sobaya's soba noodles are almost as good; though the totality of the place isn't in the same class.
Sneakeater
Yeah, Honmura An was much more than just noodles.
Orik
Honmura An is still open and serving the same food, it just relocated.
