It opened tonight. The first Chowhound review is divine.  

They can attach the bone using meat glue. From that angle, it looks like there's some other sort of flap of meat around the bone, holding bone to burger. Yeah, at this point it is most definitely not

Yeah, but no one's going to do the legwork when the "jokes" write themselves. Even still, they could have been serving their soup in a tureen with a puff pastry top and they'd be mocked for it.

Executive Chef

M. Wells is an internationally celebrated casual fine dining Québéçois restaurant in Long Island City. Our place is fueled by a passion for great food, classy service and an overall joie de vivre.

We are interviewing candidates for Executive Chef and are excited to meet those interested in joining our team and running the kitchen with Chef Hugue Dufour, co-owner of M. Wells for over ten years and an original partner of Au Pied de Cochon in Montréal.

We seek a highly motivated, committed and creative individual, with many years of experience and wide-ranging skills in food preparation and a smooth execution of refined yet fast-paced service. Candidates must have the energy and excitement to match M. Wells’ ever-changing menu and strong knowledge about diverse techniques of cooking and the art of eating. The chef is also expected to share - as well as receive - ideas and conversation about how to improve M. Wells as a restaurant and as a workplace.

Former M. Wells chefs have gone on to open and/or operate the best of New York City dining: Chez Ma Tante, COTE, Frenchette and Le Crocodile. M. Wells offers opportunities for growth thanks to ambitious future projects and our dynamic approach to the craft and the business of restoration.

Compensation includes a super competitive salary upwards of $75K, vacation, manageable schedule, health, and other benefits.
