Anyone else watching? I am not watching much but I can’t believe my luck. Twice I turned on the TV just while having lunch. The first time I saw Simone Biles in the team event, today I saw her floor performance that won the individual gold. So happy and unplanned.

The other thing I want to see is Salif Mane, a kid from the Bronx with a chance in the triple jump. Apparently that’s a few days from now.

Off and on. I made time for some of the team and individual gymnastics. I happened to be in a bar that had the judo on, and the guy next to me periodically yelled "sweep your leg." Maybe that's a thing you're supposed to do.

Spouse has been watching incessantly and announced he didn't want to go away next week as I had planned because he doesn't want to miss the second week. And since it's on, I'm aware of what's happening.

Seems that it's not returning for the next one.  And it's "breaking", since it's a sport and not a dance.  You know, like group synchronized "artistic swimming"

In hindsight perhaps the French should have fouled Curry.  It might have slowed him down, would have extended play and perhaps Steph would have missed a free throw or two.  Still, what a performance.

The women's final this morning was actually too exciting. USA by 1 point because Gabby Williams for France landed just inside the three-point line scoring at the buzzer. Inches from a tied game at full time.
