Bar snacks = serious business

NY Times has an article and photo spread about the contest to provide new and interesting bar snacks in many places. Pretzels and stale peanuts are out, and with people drinking so much Bourbon, you have to put something in their stomachs.

 

Fried artichokes with anchovy aioli, cubes of grits with country ham, Buffalo-style sweetbreads, duck + kimchi flatbreads, and chicken + waffle sliders are just a few of the items mentioned. The slide show is especially appealing.
