Suzanne F
So neat that Pam from Prospect Hill is quoted. She's a doll, and her apples are great. She's one of the few things I miss from Tribeca--she's at the Saturday Greenmarket (also at the one by Lincoln Center; I guess we could go there). Hers is the only stand where I've seen Crimson Crisp apples. (She did tell us that she had to work hard convince her father to grow them.)
StephanieL
I got the most interesting apples at the CSA last week. They look like heirloom tomatoes almost--light green on the top gradually transitioning down to shades of red, orange, and yellow. The boxes they were in didn't have any labels. Sneakeater
Are you sure they aren't tomatoes?
StephanieL
They would have been the crunchiest tomatoes ever.
