Nathan
I'm going to be in Waco for work for two weeks. Anyone know of anything (food-wise)? Hopefully I'll get back up to Austin for a weekend evening as well.
Steven Dilley
Elite Cafe and Health Camp are the places I hit if I'm desperate and in the area. Not saying they're good.
Nathan
I'm sure after a couple meals at Logan's Roadhouse I'll be desperate! Thanks, that's something. I'm sure there's a Chuy's branch too...which can be fine if you order right.
splinky
pretzels and near beer at the bush ranch
Peter Creasey
Nathan, Vitek's Barbecue goes way back and surely is still very good (but I haven't been in a very long time). It's right by Baylor campus. Others that I'm told are good (but have not personally tried) are... 135 Prime - steak and seafood1424 Bistro - interesting background of Chef (from Greece) - seafood and good meatsCafe Homestead - focus on organic and natural, somewhat simple menuDiamondbacks - typical steakhouse
Peter Creasey
P.S. Try to gain access to Ridgewood Country Club as the dining there receives high praise.
Nathan
Thanks! looking forward to Vitek's
Peter Creasey
Billy Vitek was/is a friend. He has retired and turned the operation over to his daughter...who, I believe, has expanded the concept. Several people have told me that Vitek's is still wonderful.
