I'm pretty positive I saw the "Justin Bieber of food" (I didn't make that shit up) (okay, Flynn McGarry) shopping at Essex Market yesterday.  Buying up all the good butter from Formaggio Essex (that's okay), picking up a lot of packages of cherry tomatoes at Essex Farms (hey, the guy shops at some of the same places I do, and even if I don't buy the tomatoes, that's okay), and stopping at Luis Meat Market (which I had no reason to do, so I didn't see what he bought there).

I am more of a fan of the Crawfish Strudel than the Crawfish Bread but still sad. Lot's of controversy with Jazzfest going "cashless" this year and the speculation is more  long time vendors may opt out in addition to the Crawfish Bread vendor.

Treading lightly, so many reasons to be cheerful; at least three specific things excluded by our honored guidelines; a personal encounter, unexpected but heartwarming; and after just being lazy for months I finally registered for “half off for Harlem” and will be using my cut-price ticket for Amateur Night at the Apollo tomorrow.
