mitchells
Had dinner one night at Semilla in Saint Germain. Casual, busy spot with an open kitchen that while not cheap is fairly priced. A humorous beginning, our waiter spoke no English and we speak very little French. While I had no trouble making out the menu our waiter wanted to explain the dishes to us in more detail and direct us to his favorites. So he communicated with my daughter in Spanish who then translated. I only have pictures of the starters:  Broccoli ravioli in a cheesy cream sauce   Ceviche (I think it was sea bass but can't be sure)   Foie Gras with mushrooms   Mains were octopus with squid ink pasta, pork loin and a delicious Saint Pierre.  Wine was 35 Euros and total bill for 3 was around 170 euros. Not worth a special trip but perfect for walking to when in the neighborhood.

mitchells
So here is where we have a difference in preferences. I'd rather spend an additional 25 euros and go to Neige d'ete.

mitchells
I was talking to the concierge at our hotel in Paris and he said it boggles his mind how people still go to rip-off places that are charging 25 euros for steak tartare instead of the newer kinds of places you have written up or for only a little more money, restaurants like Nde. Â And since we are bragging, here is the bill from Semilla for 3 people. I couldn't eat that meal at that price in CT. Â
