Re: car insurance with credit cards,

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/03/06/travel/rental-car-insurance.html

Is kind of useful.

I get rental car insurance from my car insurance carrier, but I'm in Canada so it's socialized insurance.

Depends on where you're renting too. Again, in Ireland and as it applies to American and Canadians, they won't accept your car insurance as cover and will force you to purchase their CDW if you don't rent with one of the few credit cards that offers coverage. Even if your card offers coverage, they place a 3,000euro hold on the card.

When you buy their CDW, the deductible is frequently in the 1000-2500euro range, so they offer Super- or Excess CDW at an additional charge per day, which can bring your liability to zero-100euro, depending on the company.

If you refuse to purchase CDW and don't have a card that covers it, you don't get a car. Happened to a guy at Shannon when I was picking up this time. He didn't do any research, booked a car for what he thought was about 10euro/day, then balked at the CDW price (20+/day) and said he'd take his chances. They told him CDW or no car.

I'm guessing Chase is taking a small statistical risk on this, as the reason nobody else covers Ireland, Israel, etc. has to do with their somewhat different liability setup.

Under Trump, the US will deploy ground forces to fight off socialist nationalized insurance claims.

But Aleppo is the gastronomic capital of the levant.

The Turkish city of Marash is making inroads into the spicy pepper market in the absence of Aleppo from the competition

Think you may have posted the wrong link. That one goes to an article about razor blades.
