You ought to see the postal workers that deliver to our buildings. We have regular guy, who appears to work maybe 3-4 days a week. The rest of the time, it's various people who look like they came right out of a Fellini casting call. And I think on Saturdays, they just don't bother at all.

Ok, so I'm going to go really off-topic here (but maybe not that much)...


Last night I was reading about Arthur Rimbaud, because it was revealed that Patti Smith (whom I had seen the night before at the Morgan Library) had recently purchased Rimbaud's childhood home, to keep it from falling into further disrepair.


So? Well, it turns out that Rimbaud was, well:


He was, in fact, a pioneer in the business, the first European to oversee the export of the celebrated coffee of Harar from the country where coffee was born. He was only the third European ever to set foot in the city, and the first to do business there. How his life swung from the sublime to the commercial is one of the most perplexing mysteries in the history of modern literature.
