That article in the Post is partially inaccurate (or at least poorly written). The linked Yahoo article is worth a read though.


Collin Sexton did not receive any payments and does not appear on the spreadsheet of players receiving payments. One of our former staff members took Collins Dad to a dinner meeting with Christian Dawkins and Michel. Dawkins is the agent who is under indictment. Michel, a financial advisor. Thankfully, at that point Michel was cooperating with the FBI. The whole evening was audio and video taped. That (and further investigation by the FBI and NCAA into bank records etc) actually cleared him and his family of any serious wrongdoing. During that investigation, Collin was held out of games as a precaution. His Dad appeared on a list that showed he had been at the dinner and the amount spent on his meal. The NCAA determined his Dad needed to repay the amount of the dinner (considered an impermissible benefit). After he did, Collin was reinstated.
