Just curious..lif you could choose a meal,maybe a final one,that would deliver pure pleasure...what would that be ?

Iberico and super shellfish to start.

Veal Milanese with perfect tomatoes.

Comte

Summer berry pudding with an over abundance of currents and served with very good whipped cream

 

 

Are we taking drinks? Cause I'm pretty sure aged burgundy goes with everything.

 

Maybe some really right off the farm calva at the end.

To drink: Krug, burgundies white and red, perhaps some Armagnac

This is tougher than it sounds. Hoping for a stay of execution so that this would be the first of a series,

 

Grilled squid with Meyer lemon

First of the season asparagus with vin jaune/morel sauce

Oxtails and pappardelle

Oozy Humboldt Fog

Dark chocolate tart with anise scented whipped cream

 

Maybe some aged Daumas Gassac red

 

 

Or a fat andouillette with Mallot mustard. and some great fries. and an icy beer.

Obviously for comfort, pleasure and no thought the answer is a good amount of brown heroin.

 

If it has to be food then you all know what I like already.

Either a really, really good burger, or that menu I had at Arpege the first time I went, plus an order of the langoustine feuillantine with curry sauce from L'Ambroisie.

I've said it many times-I'd like my final meal to be whatever David Kinch wants to serve me at Manresa.
