Orik
I don't know if it's more amazing that they resuscitated him (if only briefly) after 20 minutes with no pulse, or that they'd even try. Fentanyl patches, oxycodone, temazepam, alprazolam, citalopram, acetylfentanyl and despropionyl fentanyl. Oy
Wilfrid
They will try with famous people.

Oy That's quite the cocktail, but way too much fentanyl with oxy, (and maybe a tad too much of the ***ams too).

Lex
Remind me why I should care, please. Some people here post obituaries of people I've never heard of. Opera singers. Classical musicians. Writers. It would never occur to me, not for a second, to pop up on those threads and ask "why should I care?" They care. That's enough for me.
voyager
Hear, hear! I am astounded at the breadth of knowledge and appreciation exhibited on MFF, often sending me to Google. It's good to stretch one's horizons beyond the familiar.
Lex
It's a very smart group. Funny too, and sometimes annoying. I've learned a lot here.

If you go back to very close to the start of the thread (post #6), you will see that I am aware of this person, and his fame. And I get that some people identify with celebrities as fixtures of their youth. What I don't get is the rather ghoulish discussion the manner of his death, resuscitation, and death. What is to be gained from such information? That painkiller cocktails can be fatal? Well, duh. People die, somehow. That's enough for me.
