Georgia Civil Rights Trail

Recommended Posts

The Wall Street Journal has a mention of the new Georgia Civil Rights Trail. The Trail will eventually link some of the major sites of the movement, but you can cobble together a prototype on your own.

Savannah's Ralph Mark Gilbert Museum chronicles the story of the state's oldest African American Community, the Sweet Auburn neighborhood of Atlanta, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, and various sites where the struggle was nurtured. Albany, GA, for example, which saw resistance in 1961 and 1962. Many places are mentioned in this short article. A map is said to be forthcoming.
