Tonight's dinner party living room amuse; essentially deconstructed sushi with French flavors. A small bowl, sushi rice, slivered raw salmon, dill/chive/caper/olive oil "sauce'. Sublime. Scarfed up by guests.

Snipped fresh dill onto butternut soup. (butternut squash, potato, onion, garlic, chicken soup gel; immersion blender + sour cream) Very nice. Pumpkin soups get so boring after the first few weeks of fall.
