Daniel
This is insane to me.. I know some people learn better or remember things more if they write them down.. But, really, I am a minimalist.. I don't want to have to carry something around all the time.. A phone is enough stuff for me.. So, I am going to write things in my phone, then transfer to an appointment book which, will sit at home or my office anyway..
Orik
You're just not on trend. You're supposed to be journaling between quantifying yourself and drinking soylent, I think. Fortunately Sivan is an incredibly effective maker of list (of lists (of lists)) and our byzantine system of shared spreadsheets and domain specific language for scheduling, dependencies, packing, ordering, etc. allows us to do much more than a calendar would support. Sneakeater
I will just continue to say that I could not live my life (such as it is) without this.
prasantrin
May I ask, if you order your techo from Japan using the 1101.com site, how much does shipping end up being? I did an estimate on the fedex website, and it was about ¥20,000 which I felt was a little excessive.

prasantrin
Thanks! They use fedex exclusively for international orders now. I faked an order, and it's about ¥3000. I'll probably just have it shipped to a friend's house and have her send it to me, and maybe get some akasuri mitts thrown into the envelope while I'm at it!
Orik
Rakuten is back to using EMS for their proxy shipping service.
prasantrin
But if order through Rakuten, I won't get the exclusive not-scary bear spoon so I can always have a scoop full of hopes! There are some things I really miss about Japan, but some I don't. Kowakunai kuma spuun? Not one of them. (Would make a really nice spoon for a salt cellar, though)
Sneakeater
I'm buying through Amazon this year. I won't get the pen, and I won't get the cute toy. But the price is so much lower I can't justify going the other way.
