I'm happy these don't work on induction.

Last week, my cleaning lady actually brought the Falk saucier over to me at my computer as I was writing.   "This," she said, "now this is a nice pan."   "You should get more of these," she added.

C'mon, you can't really complain about the price of that cookware, can you?   Giving up a meal at Frenchette, or a meal or two at any of the multitude of places you dine at, will buy you a piece of

I hate to say it, but I see what joe sees in this stuff.

I'm certainly not about to replace the other copper cookware I'm fortunate enough to have accumulated over the years. But, if I had the opportunity to do it over again, most of that stuff would be Falk.

In the I'm an idiot category, when I got my first Mauviel copper saucepan a long time ago, it was (as copper was) tin-lined, and I decided to make popcorn in it, because I was excited and I just wanted to use it.  Do you know what temperature tin melts at?  Do you know it's not a great idea to preheat a tin-lined copper pan, over high-ish heat, in order to pop popcorn?

can't find/remember the thread in which all the all-clad conversation happened but i just want to say that today i scored an old-school 8 qt stockpot bought many years ago directly from the factory "seconds" sale. haven't picked it up yet from the colleague who is selling hers (it was purchased by her parents) but it looks to be in mint condition. $50. particularly sweet as i've been on a slow-motion campaign for a while now to convince myself to spend close to $300 for a new one.

Got an email this morning...

Our annual Black Friday Sale starts now!

Sale features 20% all regularly priced items and an additional 10% off sets and Try Me pans.

Remember that our cookware is hand-crafted in Belgium in small batches and quantities are limited.

Not saying whether I bought anything because if I did then there may be a problem.
