mongo_jones
this is the restaurant owned by regine chassagne and win butler of the arcade fire. it serves haitian food in a hip setting. there's an indoor dining room and a large patio. though the kitchen is the same there are completely different menus served inside and out. more traditional, hearty haitian dishes inside and smaller plates of mostly grilled/smoked meat and fish outside. two separate bars and bar menus. this was my group's farewell dinner in montreal. i was meeting friends later at damas so i used it as a light appetizer stop. nothing amazing but if i lived in montreal i'd probably come every once in a while. full write-up on the blog. Steve R.
No. Does his grandmother have a Haitian restaurant in Montreal?
Sneakeater
His grandmother was one of the King Sisters, so it seems unlikely.
