What was another recent dreamy destination restaurant in the past few years -- possibly a pop-up on a tropical island, or maybe just on a Florida Key with tiki decor --  that a glossy magazine trumpeted that it wouldn't review because it too was too exclusive?

 

My Google fu has failed me for an otherwise billable half hour.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Pete Wells refusing to review the Noma pop-up in Tulum in the Times a couple of years ago?

Thanks, that was definitely it.

 

I had a very nice fish sandwich after snorkeling near Tulum. There must've been tiki there.
