I find it easier than Castilian, but then I guess I'm exposed to a lot of it.

In Madriz there is a lot of grumbling about the proliferation of waitstaff and other retail from Andalusía and Venezuela who don't speak right.

I was taught Castillan Spanish, and everywhere else I go (or here in New York) everybody thinks my pronunciation is hilarious.

ETA -- I mean in Colombia, which has what is to my mind the clearest and easiest to understand Spanish in the Hispanophone world, they kind of affirmatively laughed at me.

In a recent episode of curb your enthusiasm, LD asks for la dirección de la visitación de Concepción Zarzal, with a chipped tooth. There is also a restauarnt Zaragoza involved.
