small h
On Grand Street, where the 7-11 used to be, the long(ish)-anticipated new Lebanese place is now softly open and giving food away. I had a chickpea salad and some tabouleh, both very nice (although the chickpea salad had a CRAZY amount of garlic in it). Since I can make this stuff myself, I'd probably go back just for a pastry, or the homemade flatbread with cheese, once it's available. There's also a shelf of products, like olives, halvah, something that looked like Turkish delight but wasn't.
Behemoth
They have cheese manouche? I need to to inform some family members...
small h
From the menu: Jibneh - akkawi, kashkawan or halloum cheese melted onto our flatbread.

GerryOlds
From the signage it looks like a second location of the place in Greenwich Village, which is great news!

It is. Maybe something in this space will actually be decent.
Daniel
MY buddy is a Lebanese born chef who was just telling me that he is going to start making, mashrewha. So I googled, found manousheh as the place for this, then found mouthfuls as a place that wrote about it. Cool looking place!
joethefoodie
Yes, and they've got a little grocery area. Excited to buy some of their stuff...believe they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
