Baseball post-season 2024

I thought we should have a thread for this although of course as an admin I will lock it if there is any sign of the Mets advancing further than the Yankees.

My daughter said to me that, if the Yankees are eliminated we would then support the Mets, right? Mm, no.

Nothing against the Mets here, but this was an occasion to remind her of the rules when she was growing up (and she did remember this). I will support you and be there with you for anything that happens, but:

1. You can’t be a fascist.

2. You can’t be a Red Sox fan.

3. No Beatles music in the home.

I had to cheer for the Mets in the 1986 World Series, because there was no way I was going to cheer for the Red Sox.
