StephanieL
I still can't believe that Boone put in Nestor Cortes and not Tim Hill.

hollywood
Freddie and the Dodgers did it again. But what about Ohtani's left shoulder?

Somday they may (re)figure out that sliding head first isn’t really the best idea.

hollywood
Dodgers are looking strong (except for Ohtani) and lucky. Tomorrow is the bullpen game.

hollywood
Kershaw is out for the season with a bone spur on one of his big toes. I knew the bullpen game was going to be a mess, but I didn't think it would be this bad.
Wilfrid
Imagine if the option existed to silence specific announcers while allowing the crowd noise and others. John Smoltz. Does he ever shut up? And game after game he tells us what the next pitch will be and why, at that granular level, and he’s usually wrong. I’ve watched a lot on mute because of him. Wilfrid
I begin to understand why WNBA fans chant “Defense!” all night. Great pitching by Cole, crap defense.

hollywood
Thunderous fireworks are exploding all over LA. Let's face it, the Yanks shot themselves in the foot with various miscues and mental errors. Still, credit is due to Roberts' management skills in pulling this game out. Freeman's 12 RBIs in 5 games equaled Bobby Richardson's 12 in 7 games in 1960. See you next year. Edited October 31 by hollywood

MitchW
That was some flawed baseball by the Yankees. and not just in last night’s 5th.
bloviatrix
The defensive errors were awful. They did stuff kids who play little league are taught no to do.
