@Steve R. didn't (understandably) have a topic about this year's open, though if I were a betting person, I'd guess he went to a few matches.

Watching on (our new-ish!) TV has been a pleasure, especially the women's draw, and looking forward to today's final.

To watch these two young women dispatch their opponents with aplomb has been a pleasure. Strength and power and 115 MPH serves don't always win this game. It's also nice to hear Chris Evert and her commentary; how she's able to put into words what she was going through when facing both older opponents...and then opponents who were much younger, and the fear that struck in her.

And even the interviews with Fernandez and Raducanu have been a pleasure. Teens and I only have heard the word "like" once!!!

We were at the Open last Mon, Tue, Thurs and Sat.  Grounds Passes, which we use to walk from court to court, watching whatever seems hot at the time.  Nosebleed seats in a stadium are worse than watching on TV, with slo-mo, replays & commentary.  So, we watched it on TV just about all the other times.

The women's draw has been spectacular and today's final should be fun.  And, although most of it hasn't been on TV, the women's doubles has also been pretty damn great.  Gauff & McNally will be playing in the finals right before the Men's Finals tomorrow.  Hope they show it.

Thanks for bringing it up.  🎾

Thinking we'll see these two around for a while, but that's certainly been said before. Though they both show poise beyond their years, and appear to have been well schooled in the art of, shall we say, how to give good interviews.

That was an interesting last game; we felt as if Emma might've been broken, which would've been a whole different ballgame, but then that injury happened, and sort of mucked that thought up.

Keeping fingers crossed the Medvedev has a good day. Not the hugest fan of Novak, though he appears to have mellowed a bit in his old age.

He certainly had more than a good day.  And the destruction of his racket showed that Novak hasn't fully mellowed, though he was quite sportsmanlike at the end.

So, @Steve R., legs, nerves?  Medvedev seems to be the next really good hardcourt male player...he sure gets around the court, and that wingspan...he's all legs and arms.
