Orik Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 The "constrcution" is actually code for raising chickens in the basement, a process that is slower than planned as we chose to raise Japanese fighting chickens and it turns out they really do fight. Quote

Orik Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 I'm happy to say that when Pei Chung came for dinner she was with someone else who actually paid. 1 1 Quote
Wilfrid Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 That is an extraordinary story. Quote According to police records, Chung has been arrested more than half a dozen times over the last month for failing to pay her bill at trendy restaurants. How did she only "spend" $150 at Peter Luger? Quote

mongo Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 there's something very sweet about the dude who is fine with continuing to feed her for free if she comes back. who knows, maybe it's not sweetness but a hope of getting some insta recognition (she must have a large following--i have not checked). Wilfrid Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 About 28k but the food posts are vastly outnumbered by posts about her being cute and, well, not fully dressed. I don't know if a restaurant should want to be on there. Not even a food "influencer" in the traditional sense. Quote

Steve R. Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 Doing that will definitely influence the food you’re served. Jail food is under reviewed. Quote
cinghiale Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 (edited) About under-dressing or jail food? I was always taken by her fondness for collecting memorabilia from French restaurants, like commemorative plates. Edited December 1, 2025 by cinghiale Quote
Wilfrid Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 Mm, she thought hospital and jail food deserved to be sampled and evaluated. I recall members suggesting ways she could get into jail. Quote
mongo Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 didn't she once "sample" homeless shelter food? Quote
Steve R. Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 22 minutes ago, mongo said: didn't she once "sample" homeless shelter food? yes. A year or so later, when I was working on a NYS/NYC joint project to reconnect many homeless mentally ill &/or substance abusers to services, and therefore had access to all the shelters, I offered her the chance to sample each and review. She did not respond. I thought of renewing the offer and adding Rikers and NYS prisons several years later when I had similar access there as well. Unfortunately, she had left the food boards. 🍽️ Quote
Wilfrid Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Well done guys, that's the stuff I was half remembering. Quote
