Stone
Anyone bake with this? I haven’t found many options. Maybe the blocks of chocolate at Whole Foods? do people order chocolate off the internet.
prasantrin
I've baked with it. It used to be Callebaut I think, or maybe belcolade, but I don't know if it's still the same source. So not the highest quality of those brands, but much better than baker's, for example. Depending on what you're making and who it's for, it should be fine. I've also ordered valrhona from Chocosphere. Arrived in excellent condition.
AaronS
the food coop has huge blocks of decent chocolate and I feel like I’ve seen them at one of the upscale manhattan grocers too.
prasantrin
If they are just blocks wrapped in plastic wrap, there's a good chance they are also basic quality Callebaut. In my experience, and from what I've been told by a Callebaut ambassador(? Might be the wrong word), Callebaut supplies a fair amount of bulk chocolate for re-sale.
