Other areas, not in such good shape. So glad to hear that. Lots of rural roads by me are now in worse shape than after Saturday's storm. voyager Posted January 5 Share Posted January 5 Just automated phone calls from our utility: “Power off”. “Power on” , repeat, repeat. We’re on a hill. Good drainage. Good roof. Wind is our nemesis as we have (had?) several dozen giant oak trees. Snow is worse as it builds up and the weight pulls down limbs. Wilfrid Posted January 23 Author Share Posted January 23 As alluded to in other threads I traveled down to Bensonhurst today for headcheese from Netcost and lunch at Em. One reason was that the forecast was serious about rain. I thought I might as well sit on the subway (hour plus there, same back) with a book (Ashbery, A Wave) as sit in my apartment reading.
