Wilfrid
Joaquina Kalukango just stopped the show with a blockbuster song from”Paradise Square.” As with an earlier number from “A Strange Loop,” which was so much minted from the opening song in “Company,” the dominance of Sondheim is just constantly reaffirmed. Wilfrid
When I lived in London, a friend managed a big ticket agency and used to give me freebies. I’d go to anything, of course, because it was free. Close to the worst show I saw was a reimagining of Moby Dick as a musical performed by schoolgirls in and around their school swimming pool. But the Tonys just introduced me to “Six.”
Wilfrid
For those who care, the worst was the musical version of “The Hunting of the Snark,” likely the worst atrocity ever committed on stage by well-known professionals and celebrities ever anywhere. Details available on demand.
bloviatrix
The worst musical ever was Urban Cowboy. We left before the end of the first act.
