Anyone else? I'm thinking I'll set the reservation for 6:30 for those interested in HH. I'll make sure they are okay with some of our party joining in later at 7. (If they're not okay, I'll report back.)

Beatcha, Anita!   Let'd Do This!   Jason

Apparently on the other board, this topic has "run its course..."   Uh, yeah....

Gotta agree with Cam...It WAS expensive. Anita got the Stadium burger. Yup. 'twas big.   Yup. Did the Wagyu upgrade.   Yup. Was about as expensive as the Burger at the Palace Kitchen .   Yee

July Burger of the Month was a success at June! I thoroughly enjoyed my burger: Thundering Hooves beef (medium rare) with Taleggio cheese, caramelized onions, and a thick steak of bacon. Delicious. The mustard and the beet ketchup (?) were great with the JoJos, too. I plan to swing back in here in the next couple of days to post a picture.

For August, I nominate Leslie.

thanks for organizing, it was a really good BoM & I will definately add June to my list of places to get back to. In adittion to the very good burger I really enjoyed the bacon & egg stuffed tempured morels and the chilled corn soup oh and the rabbit crostini. the only weak point was dessert: the corn sorbet was just a miss & the very nice bitter-chocolate bread pudding was drizzled with a raspberry coulis that did not work...

Also, at $45 a head with tax including wine (Château d'Or et de Gueules) and cocktails I thought this was a really well priced meal.

Paul and I really liked it too. I was surprised at the cocktails, I wasn't expecting anything interesting and there were a couple that I enjoyed a lot.

The chilled corn soup with strawberries was fantastic. Creamy and rich with nice acid from the strawberries. I liked my burger a lot too. Why have I never put taleggio on my burger before? It's perfect for it. I do think that the meat could have used a bit more fat in it, the texture as a bit tough. Not being a fan of jo-jo's or steak fries, etc. I wished for a nice, thin fry, especially if I go back for the cote du boeuf.

Thanks for organizing!

I've been tagged and sorry I have not gotten something organized yet for this month, it's flying by! Do you still want try for this month, or should we extend this one into Sept? Let me know! I'm free Mondays through Thursdays of each week usually.

Tavern Law was recently mentioned as a possibility, and Five Guys was the favorite inexpensive burger recommended by the author of the article Fred linked to. They are in Northgate and Renton, I think. I'm also interested in the burger at Talouse Petit, which is advertised as a mix of rib eye, skirt steak and short rib. Eats Market Cafe in W. Seattle was recommended for their burger, and I had a good burger once at Circa also in W. Seattle. I don't think we've explored Magnolia area, so Red Mill, the Village Pub, Maggie's Bluff or Szmania are options there. What other recommendations do you have? And when is a good date for you?
