Wilfrid
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/30/dining/butter-boards.html?smid=url-share Savvy diners are putting butter on a plate and adding other edible things in a latest trend. The butter may not be ice cold, allowing it to be spread around a bit, observers say. Some analysts anticipate the butter to eventually be spread on bread.

joethefoodie
Don't forget... Quote “It’s a more humble way of entertaining,” said Ms. Doiron, whose video has been viewed more than 8.4 million times. “Charcuterie boards have gotten so fussy and so done.” I actually just like to point my guests to the kitchen, and say help yourselves to whatever you might find. Makes entertaining not only humble, but really easy!

But there is actually something interesting to be said about the evolution of "Charc boards" amongst the momfluencer crowd on the 'gram. like the idea that a "Charc board" doesn't necessarily have anything to do with cured meats any more. Rootin, Tootin, Charcutin
