Evelyn
Thank you for the example for time and distance. It helps with planning. Last week we had dinners for 9 people one night. 13 the next. Thanks to the weather it looks like most if those people will fly in privately Thursday morning since we don’t play until 7:10pm. All depends on weather in the SE and here. If that holds-getting dinners handled will be a lot easier 🤞🙏 Again, thank both you, roz and Bonner for the continued suggestions and help. bloviatrix
Are those 3 red coach buses in the parking lot yours?
Evelyn
Yes Ma’am, they are.
Evelyn
One for the team, coaches, analysts and GAs. One for the pep band and cheerleaders. And one for support personnel and coaches’ families.
bloviatrix
And do they require that the team buses have to be crimson?
Evelyn
Actually we have zero say in anything. That was pure luck. The NCAA picks the charter airlines and flight times. The FBOs. Buses (every where else we have the same driver(s) during regular season). They either drive us round trip. Or, if it is a multicity trip involving airline flights, deadhead to the last city to drive back Tuscaloosa if that’s more reasonable than a charter. Hotels-no choice-higher your seed (we’re the #2 seed in this Regional) the better. I don’t know where Duke (#1 seed) is staying. Times and places for practices-both at Fairleigh Dickinson and Prudential. And assorted media appearances.
bloviatrix
FDU is so close to the hotel. You lucked out with that.
Evelyn
Definitely. And we also had practice at NJIT. In addition to the Prudential. For dinners so far-it’s been Pancetta at the hotel. Which has been easy and better than expected choice. And Morton’s in the Riverside Mall.
