Memphis and Nashville

Recommended Posts

I spend a good amount of time in Nashville. Was just there in March for the SEC Basketball Tournament. Here are some of my favorites:

Rolf & Daughters

Henrietta Red

Etch

Bastion

Michael Mina Bourbon Steak (best view in town from their bar)

Audrey

Husk

Marsh House

Iggy’s

The Optimist

Present Tense

Biscuit Love

I am not a chicken fan, but everyone I know likes Hattie B’s or Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack.

Thanks both for your great suggestions! Lots to consider.

I can’t recommend Locust enough. Trevor Moran got something special and unique with Locust. I have been three times already.

“A perfect Tokyo Neapolitan pizza is defined by locally sourced wood burned in a locally sourced oven, an extra punch of salt, and a delicateness of dough that extends to the tip of the fire-seared crust.”

FFS.

From Eater of course

Two questions:

1. why is this posted in the Nashville/Memphis topic?

2. Why post an eater piece that is 8 years old?

Okay, a third question:

3. How much did you drink last night? Or were other substances involved?

Because Sean Brock is obsessed with Tokyo-style pizza, and he just opened Sho Pizza Bar in Nashville.

1. See above

2. I thought it so encapsulated the preciousness of a Japanese pizza.

3. Negronis (not Tokyo-inspired). Latest season of Black Mirror, which had put me in a curmudgeonly state of mind.
