I just ran searches on the really big music stars who came to fame in the 60s and early 70s and are still alive -- with the painfully obvious result that they are in their late 70s or 80s. Of course they are. Quote
Mitchell101 Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 We literally just did this the other night..... Santana, George Clinton, Smokey Robinson, Sir Paul, Keith, Mick, Eric Clapton, Irma Thomas..... Quote
MitchW Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 Ray Davies - 80 Neil Young - 79 Ringo Starr - 84 !!! Joe Ely - 78 (and not doing all that well) Joni Mitchell - 81 The list goes on and on... Quote
Wilfrid Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 Yes, close to my list, although I forgot Ringo. Quote
hollywood Posted June 14, 2025 Author Posted June 14, 2025 Curiously absent from this discussion is Bob Dylan (84) and still touring. 1 Quote

Wilfrid Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 I did look up Bob Dylan. Also Ron Wood, Rod Stewart, Elton John (78, 80, 78). Quote

Wilfrid Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 Never did see him. But watched the Central Park concert a few hundred times. Quote
backyardchef Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 A few years ago we got tickets to see Paul Simon at The Town Hall. He got the flu and cancelled. Also, one of the most uncomfortable theaters I have ever visited. A real let down of a night. Quote
Wilfrid Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 I know I've been to the Town Hall but I can't remember why. Quote
