Diancecht
seen today at the market we usually go to fatted calf first because it’s inside the sf ferry building and by the time we come outside to where they’re located, our bags are almost full. we’re making a point to buy from these guys instead next weekend for our annual oscars viewing party. they also have rabbit available 😍
Sneakeater
My Greenmarket was almost a joke this morning.
Sneakeater
Even the vendors didn't bother to show up today. I was cursing myself for getting out bed and going out in the rain when I saw that the goat purveyor strangely had duck eggs. Nobody's had duck eggs at this Market in months. small h
I think your vendors might be at Union Square. Mostly winter-y stuff, but a fair amount of greenhouse (I assume) stuff as well. Always available, as far as I know.
Diancecht
the place with the bresse chicken didn’t have any product we wanted. (so why do you have signs out advertising such? 🧐) we bought from root down farm instead. the market is in a holding pattern until early spring produce starts coming in. i am *really* tired of cabbage, rutabagas and other root vegetables. Sneakeater
My Market doesn't even have cabbage anymore.
small h
You might need to go further afield. I got pea shoots, Chinese broccoli, pears and oyster mushrooms. There was plenty of cabbage, too, if you miss it.
Sneakeater
There would have been pea shoots, if the vendor that sells pea shoots had bothered to show up today.
Sneakeater
Of course, only a month and half away from that Sacred Moment.
Diancecht
we might not have ramps but these are ok as a substitute
