Thought we needed a thread on places we walk by, places we hear about, places we want feedback on without starting a thread about it (yet)...   So last night we walked by Lure Fishbar. I love the l

Walked by that newish place Turquoise on E. 81. Nice fish menu - lots of whole fish, and meditarannean stuff. Not wacky expensive, believe it or not. If they do all the fish well, might be nice. N

I went a few months ago. I liked the wings; the potato mochi are good if you don't mind the typical mochi texture. They're served with a sweetish sauce and lots of butter. The place really is small

(It is pretty funny/telling/“ironic” if you’re illiterate like the copy writer that in trying to reimpose formality they show they don’t know anything about it.  Underlines the fake dress up/role play aspect of the requirement.  Not that it bothers me.)

Exactly.

Tempted to call them and ask if they'll stretch a point and let me wear a blazer.

Rather than drop this in the Dhamaka or Junoon threads, I wondered if anyone knows about Indian Summer on Malcolm X Blvd?

I am curious because it specializes in duck dishes. Six accommodations of battakh on the menu. I do believe I had duck at Junoon, but can’t recall seeing this on Indian menus otherwise.

I answered my own question by picking up battakh kumb wala last night. Lots of sliced duck breast, with mushrooms, in a creamy almond sauce. The duck breast was fully cooked, of course, and therefore digestible. I liked it, although I am suprised they can serve that much duck breast for $17. Presumably buying in bulk and frozen as there is no sign of duck legs on the menu.

I wonder what they might be able to do with rabbit?
