FRIDAY THE 13TH MAY 2022 Traditionally on Friday the 13th we have a special sheet of designs we work from for the day for $13 and a lucky $7 tip. With the ongoing Covid 19 situation we are limiting the number of people allowed in the shop through the day to those whose turn it is to get tattooed. Please follow us on Instagram @daredeviltattoo for information on what will be available for the day. Okay, I don't like any of those. And a good thing, too, because it would be par for the course for my "one tattoo is plenty!" rule to be superseded by my "don't pass up bargain!" rule.
joethefoodie
I think there's a whole generation of people who just like to wait on lines.

Every time I (or we) walk around the neighborhood, there are lines at places; I only wish I knew what some of these places were selling, or doing, or giving away. There's a place on Ludlow between Canal and Hester with bouncers, a secretive door, and it's not a bar, club, etc.

small h
Ah. Okay, I don’t need sneakers. Or any in-demand non-food item.

No. Would I go again if I had other things to do in Williamsburg? Sure. Maybe. If someone else suggested it I wouldn’t be mad at the idea. It was reminiscent of a neighborhood place we used to hit now and then when we didn’t feel like cooking, Chou Chou - minus the supernaturally attractive waitstaff, but with much cheffier attention to preparation and seasoning. Good, sure, happy we went. Far better than Chou Chou in the food regard. But are we thinking of going back? Nah. Side note: the lobby of the Hoxton is weirdly very, very, cold. Like it was 50° out and raining but they had the AC running full blast.

Wilfrid
Coarse. I walked by this sleek little place in the West Village today, and knowing nothing looked it up. The concept is a spontaneous tasting, no specified number of dishes (can be vegetarian or vegan), about $150. With no sample menus available, because the concept, I would have to search blogs to find out if it serves food I might like. Anyone heard about it?
