peppyre
You have to pay for them!??! I thought they were gratis! (Not that I would ever make use of one, but I had assumed their fees were included in the cruise fee. You know, like gratuities are.) Ha...There is absolutely nothing but basics included in your fare (food, coffee, tea and tap water) tips are charged daily to your room account. Escorts are most definitely an extra. Some of the cruises I was looking at included gratuities. Some of them even included business class fare to the embarkation city and from the disembarkation city! But those are the ones I can't afford.
Daisy
I went on a cruise recently which was no-tipping and everything except shore excursions, some premium wines and dining in the two Relais and Chateaux establishments of 7 restaurants was included. The premium restaurants were I think $25 a person charge. We saw those escorts on our ship! Escorting two English women on the 'formal' night. My sister and niece and I were rendered a bit hysterical by this. They were wearing black tie which almost no other men were.

For good watermelon, good feta, and great EVOO? Sure. Looks kinda like my local Bistro's simple plating - a nice portion.

prasantrin
Cook a piece of meat, take it off the heat and leave it for 15 minutes. If it's not cooked enough for you, you can always cook it again and it will be fine. Bake a cake, take it out of the oven and leave it for 15 minutes. If it's not cooked enough, no further cooking will save it. Why? Something about proteins?
Suzanne F
I'm guessing, but maybe it's the heat transfer as it relates to density. Carryover cooking for proteins relies on dense muscle tissue; a cake is more full of air, so once it has cooled, reheating will have to get through the outside and the inside is insulated by air so it won't cook much more unless the outside is waaaay overdone. Am I making sense? I've had a lot of wine tonight, none of it very good.
memesuze
Android/Google Play [aka the Google store] users: I just noticed that I am unable to sort the reviews by stars so that I can read all the 1*, 2* to see what issues folks had with a particular app. Am I missing something in the new look? In the past, I would click on the 1* symbol and all of the 1* reviews would come up. Now I can sort by rating, but it seems only to bring up the 5* reviews first and there isn't a way to get past the hundreds of thousands of 5* 4* 3* to get to the lower ratings.
