I think puntarelle benefits from less creaminess with it; but who had puntarelle?

It had a lot of stem (I pitched the leaves, because they were too bitter, even after blanching). But I don't know the difference between "correct" and "incorrect" puntarelle. It's on the right side.

My parents always had them in the house for when they entertained - was the brand Finn? They go very well with the smoked oysters I would hoover up whenever my sister and I were left to fend for ourselves.

hubby was visiting family in southern new jersey this past week and came home today…so this was his welcome home lunch:

insalata di funghi, sedano e parmigiano reggiano; minestrone; pear tart with almond cream. the tart was from boho petite (2146 chestnut st (pierce)).

polpette al sugo

swiss chard and onion braised with pork fat and wine

roasted zucchini with garlic, mint, and vinegar 

blood orange-rosemary ricotta pound cake

digestifs/coffee/tea
