Guest Suzanne F
Late-ish, I guess, since I expect to have stuffed myself at Salumi! But that could be 8 or so. How's that for everyone else who might come?
Leslie
Le Pichet is a great choice! I would love to join you, too. 8pm is good, but we'll need to make reservations for sure. Note: their famous roast chicken takes an hour to cook. I am hoping their steak tartare is still on the menu, and that fabulous sardine dish.
Guest Suzanne F
Does one order the roast chicken ahead? or just wait for it? I roast chicken!!
Leslie
Does one order the roast chicken ahead? or just wait for it? I roast chicken!! You order it when you get there. But with apps, wine, and conversation ahead of that, the time goes by quickly.
SeaGal
This sounds great to me. Perhaps we can meet for cocktails beforehand like you all did when Squeat was here and then have dinner at 8:00?
Guest rockdoggydog
Thursday is great, whatever time you guys decide I'll be there. Rocky
malarkey
Thursday at Le Pichet?? Twist my arm!! OK, I"ll come.
Guest Abra
Shel and I would like to join you. Cocktails before - when and where? And about that roast chicken, let me wax heretical. It's a perfect roast chicken. A fabulous roast chicken. But sometimes a roast chicken is just a roast chicken. They do a lot of things that I think are more interesting, and they change their menu often. In any case, it's all delicious. I wish I could find them online to link to the current menu here - is it possible they don't have a website?
GourmetLight$
Here you go Abra! http://www.lepichetseattle.com/page1.html
Guest Abra
Crap, why wouldn't Google produce that for me? However, since they change menus every 3 weeks, that won't be the one we get. But I'm really glad to see that they are online - I thought they had somehow fallen into the Twilight Zone.
Lauren
I am so sorry but I am going to have to back out of dinner Thursday night. I'm still available to meet for drinks beforehand if that comes to be.
Guest Suzanne F
Okay, update time: My plane is supposed to land at 11:10, I expect to only have carry-on, and I might want to drop my bag off first at my hotel (across the street from the W), so what time for lunch? Thursday, November 3, LUNCH at Salumi: Eden little ms foodie (good -- you I'll recognize ) Thursday, DRINKS ??????? when and where? Lauren, who cannot join us for dinner. who else? Thursday, DINNER at Le Pichet, 8:00 (needing a reservation) Abra & Shel Leslie Malarkey Rocky I'll survive if no one else wants to go in on the chicken. If the menu online is typical, there are plenty of other things that call to me.
Leslie
Seagal is also in for dinner and pre-dinner cocktails, I think. I'll make the Le Pichet reservation for the 7 of us at 8PM. If there are any changes for the dinner res, please post here, or PM me. Suzanne F Abra & Shel Leslie Malarkey Rocky Seagal edit to add: I've made the reservation for Le Pichet. As for pre dinner cocktails... do we want to try the new place again or Virginia Inn? Or both like last time! (both on the same block as Le Pichet) . I might make it in time for 1 pre-dinner cocktail...
little ms foodie
why don't we say 1:00 for Salumi but I'll pm you (and Eden) my mobile in case you need to change that. Looking forward to seeing you again! edited to change the time to 1pm and to say that Della will be joining us as well.
Guest Abra
We'll be there for a pre-dinner drink or two as well. If either place is smoky, that'd be the one I vote against. That online menu is indeed typical, and lots of us have eaten there during thatone. The pork tongue was absolutely killer. I wish they'd have that again this time.
