omnivorette
Tamar has a list of places she hasn't been to, but wants to try before she leaves NYC. What's on the list, Tamar? Let's hear it, so we can tell you how to improve it.
Tamar G
I get my own thread! I currently have plans to go to these places: Grand Central Oyster Bar Aquagrill Per Se the Red Hook ball fields Other "must try" places or field trips: Ali's Arthur Avenue Bukharan food in Rego Park There's others, but that's what I can think of off the top of my head. I'll keep adding to this. Thanks for asking.
Abbylovi
Al di La Sripraphai La Pollada de Laura Momofuku Where are you going? We should know this so we know what foods you'll have a hard time finding or that you'll miss.
Tamar G
I will let you know the moment I know. The plan (without actual details) is to go to Paris and take language classes for 5-6 weeks starting in mid June. Then to Chicago for a wedding, vacation for 10 days in Ireland, and finally to where ever I end up at law school. That's looking like Berkeley but I am still waiting to hear from some schools. Those 4 places are all on my list. I have had 3 or 4 frustrated plans to get to both Pollad de Laura and Sripraphai. Somehow they always seem to be foiled at the last minute. rancho_gordo
Don't forget Starwich! I hear it's AMAZING! We don't have anything like that out here on the West Coast! Imagine- design your own sandwich. Incredible!
omnivorette
The Spring menu at Hearth is something I never miss.

Incredible! Also, you can order ahead by phone and even online! Go ahead, they don't mind - they won't notice, anyway.
GrantK
Isn't that the place that's opening up in SF sometime? If I got my celebrity chefs right, it was on that Bravo situational game show series "Top Chef." Don't forget Starwich! I hear it's AMAZING! We don't have anything like that out here on the West Coast! Imagine- design your own sandwich. Incredible!

Scorched Palate
and finally to where ever I end up at law school. That's looking like Berkeley but I am still waiting to hear from some schools. Oooh, how exciting for us Bay Areans! Do keep us posted. (Not that any of the Boalt students I know have any time to socialize, but...)
lovelynugget
If Tamar goes over to the Bay Area, by the laws of Red Rover, you must send someone back over.
Scorched Palate
Well, Cameron and I are coming for a week at the end of June, but our dogs will be very unhappy if we stay. Edited to add: My sister-in-law is moving to NYC, but she lives in London. I guess that means we owe London someone instead...
omnivorette
I'm missing everybody's visits. We'll be away at the end of June.
