I'm so thrilled for her - I know preparing for it is extremely time consuming and stressful. I hope you do something to celebrate.

We'll do some small things now--she doesn't want anything big until the summer.  How nice that that coincides with our Copenhagen trip. 🙂

Yesterday was the perfect day to be blessed with extraordinary weather. I had brunch with a friend in Long Island, outdoors on a patio watching ducks on the lake. Then a browse through the Nassau Museum of Art and a wander around its outdoor sculpture gardens. The grass was a little too soggy to tackle the nature trails. I didn't need my jacket.

Imagine doing any of that the previous day, Saturday, with the cold, relentless rain.

But it’s okay, the sources of trauma resolved themselves, quick intervention with anti-inflammatories calmed my arthritis and I had a wonderful day with the new Himalayan artists at the Rubin and, improbably, a fantastic show about sleeves at FIT.

It took me a long time to convince myself I could eat raw shellfish in Penn Station and not die.  But I could, it finally turned out.

I never had such misgivings in Grand Central proper.  But then, Grand Central proper isn't disgusting like Penn Station.

Kids went undefeated and won the March Madness Squirts C group championship in double OT. They played amazingly well and left everything out there on the ice. I'm so proud of all them. And the boy came thisclose to scoring his first goal of the season but ended up with the primary assist.

Because it’s something like 72F, walking out in a t-shirt and up to Washington Heights to Penny Jo’s, a cocktail bar with big, sunny windows, drinking my first Clover Club in many years, then wandering back down the hill finding many people so happy and smiling in the sunshine.

Our favorite tiki bar hosted a Gosling's Black Seal Rum tasting, with Emily Gosling (8th-generation owner) running the show. We had 2 cocktails (N had mocktails) and tastings of 5 different Gosling's rums.  Those of us who bought bottles were allowed to take home one of their RTD Dark & Stormy cans and taste a special blend that's only available at one particular hotel in Bermuda.
