The Celtics won. Aetna Advantage covered 100% of the dental work the husband had done a few weeks ago. My electric bill went down for the second time in about 6 months (on the level pay plan).

 

I was hoping this was a good trend, but by the looks of the mail that is arriving today, I've got a couple of big bills (life insurance) arriving and got a notice from the assisted living facility that the rates are already going up after just 3 months. Sigh.

But seriously folks, Utopia is a top 5 bagel place (in the world of NYC), and this might be good news. (It also doesn't mean that I still don't hate bagel "sandwiches!)

Pre or post-stroke?

I definitely missed that one!  It must've been a night when he was playing somewhere else, and the only times I can remember him being here in NYC solo, he had played at City Winery. Post-stroke.

The conference I was at this past week was just down the road from a Boichik Bagels outpost.  The shop smelled just like my childhood bagel shop in NJ, not to mention many NYC stores (including H&H, the model for Boichik).  I miss those places.

We're done with 3 of 4 sports for the 2 kids. The daughter just has tryouts for lacrosse for next year, but the son's club lacrosse is just ramping up.  I will have slept in my own bed one saturday night from 6/1 tp 7/15

My Google Fiber is installed and working. Well, couple of minor glitches, but I will get those worked out today. I hope. Very fast. I'm waiting a week to pull the plug on cable, just to be sure. The wildlife dug up the line they installed from the main box out front and they still have not come to fix it. I figure if the wildlife doesn't chew through the cable, the lawnmower will, so want to make sure that is taken care of before I cut all other ties.
