I did not report on my legendary annual fine dining experience this year - it was to the Black Cat Bistro on Preston Street. Nice place and our group was treated very well, but the food was not too memorable and the bar selected the world's most boring whiskey as a dessert match. We did have some fun taking selfies in the two vintage hair dryers positioned outside the washrooms.
  2. I was able to get in to the Harbord Room on a Toronto trip last month, I enjoyed a couple of cocktails (below is the Ignacio Sour) and their raw plate special of the day was a whitefish ceviche that was very tasty. I also stopped for brunch at the Kensington Cornerstone Café, a little gluten free place in the market. Had a very nice eggs benny on GF pumpernickel with rainbow hash browns.

  6. I have been to Toronto a couple of times this fall. Usually when I go we eat with family, but I did have a meal or two out on a couple of trips. My nephew's wedding reception was at Lisa Marie and we had a great time, cocktails a bit wanting but good eats. I ate lunch with colleagues at Korean Grill House at Yonge and Bloor a week ago; they were going on and on about the Bibm Bahb and how authentic it was so I had that; it was good but not spectacular. The stone bowls are super hot + steel chopsticks means no leaning them on the bowl or OUCH. I also had a lunch at a little hole in
  7. Well, I don't expect you Yanks to understand any of this. Thanks Tom, for some of the most memorable (if the worst) song lyrics ever.
