  1. I can't do tomorrow (now today) either. What about the 6th?
  2. Yeah, I've been wondering about this place for a little while too. Whenever I go to the symphony I am amazed that they offer a pre-concert meal and am really curious. Do you have time for lunch tomorrow? This might be interesting. I wonder if you can get both Mexican and Italian on the same plate? Anyone else want to venture in? Rocky That place is kitty-corner from my office and I've been wondering about it as well. I can't do lunch tomorrow, but next week would be a possibility... I can't do lunch today either, but next week sounds good to me too! Dang, I'll be out of town

  4. I don't know if it looks interesting......more scary I guess. But I'm curious about Bruno's Mexican and Italian joint on 3rd Avenue between Union and Pike. Anyone been?
  5. Yes, yes it was. I can vouch for that.
  6. I'm sure we can find room. If not, we'll make it!
  7. HeyJude and I are hosting an event on Friday, June 17th to bid a fond farewell to Cameron and Anita. In honor of their favorite cuisine, we thought it would be fun to have a Mexican potluck, so bring your favorite dish from south of the border. The festivities will be held at La Casa de Edlund and will begin at 6:30. Paul and I will probably do some sort of protein on the smoker or Kamado and for sure will have pitchers of margaritas. Our amenities include a fired up grill, a 4 burner gas stove with oven, as well as a microwave and toaster oven to aid you in your culinary preparations. I hope
  8. Inn Bin is another one of those places that I have a soft spot for. No matter how bad they are, I will still think highly of it. When Paul and I were first dating we also worked together and, to be able to go out to lunch and not get caught, we would go to the Inn Bin. It felt so......clandestine
  9. Fai Jai, thanks for taking one for the team. Paul and I wonder about this place every time we drive by. Scratch that off the list. On the west side of Aurora, near 79th, is a "California Style" pizza place selling pizza by the slice. I can't remember the name but I'm fascinated by it. Great thread Rocky.
  10. Bringing this back to the top to remind everyone about tonights gathering. So far we have: Lauren and Paul white lotus rockdoggydog malarkey Eden I think my friends Mr Bill and his girlfriend are coming also. If anyone else wants to, please join us. We're meeting at 7PM at Tini Biggs. Most of you have my cell number so, if you're going to be late, give me a call to find out where we are. Also, there is a Sonic game at Key Arena starting at 6:30. Car traffic and bar traffic should have cleared out by the time we start, but still keep it in mind....... See you tonight!
  11. I just spoke with the good folks at Pure Fish and they indeed have the first of the run available today. I am lucky to be in Seattle and can swing by Pike Place Market on my way home from work! BTW, Pure Fish also smoke their own salmon and it is the best I have ever had. Very moist and good smoke flavor. I assume they sell it mail order as well.
  12. Thanks to Tighe for arranging this very fun lunch. I loved the "crack and cheese" taste they brought out to us before lunch. Of couse the addition of bacon to mac and cheese is always a welcome thing! I also liked the burger at Collins. It was thick and juicy and tasted meaty. I thought the bun was just okay. It could have been a bit more substantial for my tastes. I think the pepper blend was on the tomatoes. I'm not a fan of pepper so I scraped most of mine off. Even so, it was still a tad peppery for me. I also thought the people at Collins did a great job of feeding 9 people burge
  13. This event is winding down so we should probably get another round of places under our belts. How about next Thursday (the 19th)? We could meet at 7 PM at Tini Biggs then head up the hill to The Mirabeau Room and 10 Mercer. Rocky reminded me that it's the 5 Spot's anniversary that night so anyone who wanted to could go there after. Who's in?
  14. I'm in too. I'll have to check with Paul to see if he is available. I hope one of the places has chicharrones (sp?) ! Oh, and I can drive too.
  15. Mr. Bill just found out that he has to work on Monday so will have to miss this event, which means I have an extra ticket for the 4:00 - 5:00 PM "seating" at Salumi. Is anyone interested in it? The cost is $70.00 and includes the book, food and wine. PM me if you are. Lauren
  16. That was fun! Belltown was the perfect place to start. There are so many places in close proximity that we were able to stick our heads in a lot of the new places I've been meaning to check out. We had a good group: sparrowsfall, SeaGal, white lotus, Mr. Bill and his gf and myself (we missed you Rocky and Fai Jai). When we could, we ordered one of each cocktail and appetizer - you know, for the good of the team It's good to know that I never need to go back to Belltown Bistro. What a meat market. The place was filled with the frat boy type. The group of boys sitting right behin
  17. A late lunch on Friday the 13th works for me! What is late? 1 PM? (Collins Pub is the place next to Ibiza, right?)
  18. Richard should take the last 12:30 spot. I'm flexible so, if at the last minute he can't make it because of work, I'll take his place. Thanks Pat.

Shhhhhhh I was trying not to offend any Denver fans
  20. Pat, If Richard isn't joining heyjude (meaning there is still a spot left) I would love to part of the 12:30 group. Your menu sounds fantastic. Thank you for including us in your "big day".

Woo Hoo! The Sonics made it to the second round. Bring on San Antonio! Oh, all right, maybe Denver.
  22. Obviously I don't know Jeff Van Gundy personally but, I'd be surprised if he just made up a story to tell. Even in the heat of the moment, I don't think he'd say that. Besides, I think that kind of stuff goes on more than we know. I mean, these guys (coaches, players, refs, announcers, etc.) travel and hang out together 8 or so months a year. Friendships develop. It does bug me when coaches bitch publicly about the reffing. It just makes them look desperate. And I couldn't agree more about David Stern. He bugs me beyond belief. It amuses me that he looks so lilliputian next to the player
  23. For this weeks Seattle Shake, let's meet at 7 PM at The Belltown Bistro. I'll be coming from the Greenlake area if anyone wants a ride.
  24. This sounds good Tighe. Fridays work best for me but, if next week works, I am available Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. If Friday is not an option, I can try and move my schedule around to make it work.
