Tapies and Tapas would make a great first date. I feel compelled to remind you that Besta and Gresca are right around the corner from each other and their small plates formats make it easy (preferable, even) to hit them both in one night. Also, a year later and I'm still thinking about a roasted onion stuffed with octopus from Agreste de Fabio & Roser. (I also think about Casa Maians. Can you tell I'm ready for a return trip?)1 point

My food-gifting friend showed up yesterday with a ton of Mexican food. He was doing a segment for one of the local TV stations on the KC Taco Trail and I got to enjoy some of the benefits. I already had Italian leftovers from Saturday night, so I now have enough food to last me at least a week and maybe even more. I gorged myself on this last night.1 point
