Son and his 13 year old daughter are spending a week in Berlin, a post-social studies interest trip.    No destination dining but rather extensive walk and gawk til you drop monument visits and chic boutique window shopping.   At least I hope its just window shopping.

I sent them the list of Berlin bib gourmandes, but so far they have crashed at a sushi bar and a grill where they found burgers and currywurst.   Happy campers.   We discussed that some people travel to eat and others eat to travel.

I ate at Noblehart & Schmutzig on a business trip earlier this month.  Wonderful scene, my server was absolutely charming in the best possible way.  The food was honestly really not very good.  What protein there was, appeared to be a sous vide pork neck that was just ok. The bread and butter and pickles essentially their signature dish was eh. The butter which they make themselves just had a high acidity and not much flavor. The bread was brought in (it was good) the pickles were like proficient lacto-fermenting. Foxface is doing way more interesting stuff in this vein.  I did have an aspargus dish I really liked - but it was aspargus in a veg juice reduction. There was a wild herb dish where I was told proudly "these are real, flavorful herbs" they were lame.

Do not recommend.
