Gambas al ajillo.  Wild gulf shrimp, very briefly cooked, though you gotta turn the heat off under the cazuela before you think you should.  Salad. Baguette.

Last night - amazing how it's similar to sneak's dinner.

Brouillade aux truffes. Instead of an omelet, the last of the Pèrigord truffles, which yes, are kept in a sealed container with four eggs.  I decided to grate the truffle into and atop the brouillade.

Chicken soup with vegetables. Stock made from the roasted carcass of the Jidori bird (and a few bits and scraps from the freezer). Better than sneak's grandmother's (as well as mine). It is missing the secret ingredient of Askenazic Jewish grandmothers the world over. Dill.

I made a pot of chicken soup last night (and the boy made matzo balls!). We'll be having it tonight - I'll be adding in the dill during the re-boil. As well as fresh carrot and parsnip.

I was informed by a certain family member that the dill ruined the soup. i look forward to the day when he once again becomes a good eater because right now I think there are only 3 foods he'll eat.

Celery salad with lemon dressing, olives, parm, walnuts and (immortal) balcony parsley.

Stir-fried smoked tofu, carrot and (probably) the last of the balcony greens, with a little red curry paste.
