Puck dropped last night on the new season.  Say what you want about Vegas but they know how to put on a production.

Let's see if Bedard (Chicago) lives up to the hype as the next coming of the messiah.

Meanwhile, this was the ice at EJ Murray in Yonkers on Friday. Much as I love baseball, this is my happy time of year sports-wise.

Chris Kreider joins the ranks of the great one (Wayne Gretzky) and Mark Messier (not bad himself) as one of only 3 Rangers to earn a natural hat trick in one period of a playoff game.  It was pretty incredible to see.

I can't believe the extent to which the 'Canes blew that game. I want a Canadian team to win the cup!

I have issues with every team in the East. And while I think Vancouver is going to the conf. final, I like this Edmonton team. Zach Hyman is my fave - first member of the tribe to score 50+ goals in a season.
