Was chatting with the mom of one of the boy's baseball teammates. I knew her husband is a Tony-winning producer of musicals. But today I learned that she hates musical theater.

Spouse had to finally replace his phone yesterday. The thing died last week. He took it the genius bar where they [unsuccessfully] attempted to run a diagnostic on it. It was 4.5 years old.

It does. Many of the themes are still quite relevant. What's interesting is the language - there are words and phrases that you would never use if you were writing the film today - for example using the word retard. And it's kind of jarring to hear it.

The place the kid plays was freezing. And I have experience with being in rinks in the summer and I know how to dress. They have four rinks - every single one of them is busy. He and his teammates weren't even off the ice and the Zamboni was coming on to clean it for the next group. Their ice quality is excellent. They have a number of Olympic caliber figure skaters training there.

It's 75F and I'm going to the rink later today - spring hockey starts.
